That was a much better show than the previous nights circus show, at least educationally. I thought it was funny when the host last night stated, as he was underwater surrounded by a pack of white tips, that they would not bite him as long as he didn't do anything idiotic like trying to grab one. Hope the fool from the previous 'Great White Uncaged' episode heard that bit of wisdom!

It was one of the better ones of the series. It also made me much more interested in someday moving into more tech type diving to be able to visit spots like where he found the black coral while sounding like a chipmunk. ;)

I thought the meat of the show was pretty good. I didn't like the shark facts or the way they were presented. I also saw the first previews of Open Water. I really wonder how much damage that movie is going to do to the sport.

Finally, a Shark Week show that had some merit. It was even a bit educational. Not just a continual barrage of "Man eater", "killer", "monster".
Excellent videography and interaction.
I too, would like to get more tech so I can go deep to see the coral and deep water sharks.
Much better than the first two pieces of cr_p.

Agreed. We were a bit nervous at first...seemed like the
host was trying too hard to be a scuba version of the Crocodile Hunter or whatever that guy is called. But it was much more educational (and not just about sharks) and less hysterical than the other shows. The one the night before was another loser in my opinion. If I had been stuck on a boat for a week with "Cat" I'd probably have tossed myself overboard, great whites or no great whites!

I was impressed from the start when he explained why he was able to walk on the coral without worrying about damaging it (dead already from El Nino). Not something you would expect from a Shark Week show.

Yeah....much better than the garbage they had been running until yesterday. Frankly, I'm looking forward to seeing Nigel's program tonight about the bull sharks..

"Bet you're wondering why I'm walking all over this coral. Well, it's dead due to el nino, so who cares..." :11:

Overall, it was enjoyable.
