shark encounters?

Ive had hundreds of encounters with sharks if you can call it that- the great majority is they look at you and swim away. Ive seen GWS, Tigers, Bulls, reef sharks, hammerheads and blues. I just completed a film on sharks and shark conservation. The sad thing is, at the current rate of overfishing sharks, habitat loss of reefs and shark finning, there arent going to be a lot fo sharks left.

We have Grey Nurse Sharks in Australia; big beautiful, placid things, with a mouth full of very impressive teeth. I was diving recently at 'Fish Rock Cave' (a 125m swim thru with one entry at 14m & the other at 27m) and encountered GNSs from 6'-10',they just rest in gutters, or cruise past you, often very close. What a buzz!!
Had a big Tiger cruise in for a look 12 months ago, we felt rather insecure, very sure we weren't at the top of the food chain, but he had a very relaxed manner, wasn't at all threatening.
