A coupe I've met want to begin a baited shark dive operation. They have a lot of experience with baited shark dives (recreationally, not as a business). They've asked to charter my op to assist them in developing experience for their own charter operation. I'm aware of the law concerning baited shark dives, and I'm aware of the conviction last March of a shark dive operator in Florida. Is it correct to assume the FWC was able to present evidence that the operator was in violation because they were inside the 3 mile limit, or was there some other factor that led to conviction (the FWC claiming jurisdiction beyond 3 miles, or some such thing)?
Mostly curious about the FWC in that event. Wondering if they're on the warpath for these ops.
