We run out to the anderson reef, Drop anchor and suit up. It was Chris, Mark and Myself. I was the first in the water followed by Mark then Chris, Chris's BC had devoloped a rip in it so he was planning on staying right near the anchor line. We let Chris lead us down followed by myself then Mark. Upon reaching the bottom we spotted a huge Ray Maybe 7' tip of wing to tip of wing maybe 15' long, he was being trailed by a nice 5' Bull Shark and another fish I have yet to identify. After letting these three pass we start looking for our supper that night. Right off the bat I spot a nice Hog Fish, One clean shot and he is on the stringer. I start off down the wreck a short piece to give space for Chris, Mark follows right behind me. I was hovering approx. 5' above the wreck walls and about 20' above the bottom. I was watching some nice snapper down below me when He caught my eye. ( Vis was about 10 to 15' ) A shark appeared infront of me heading toward me but about 5' off to my right side. We were eye to eye for about a second or two before he turned slightly away from us, when he did, his tail fin smacked both of my fins. I could have kick myself in the butt for not haveing my camera. This was a once in a lifetime sighting ( I thought ) He was a 9 to 10' Silky, very gracefull and very large. ( and yes I do have witnesses on size ) I was a little un nerved about him brushing me with his tail but I figured that he would continue on and I wouldn't see him again untill about 20seconds later when he appeared again coming from the same direction. This worried me, Alot!!!!! This was the biggest Anything I had ever seen underwater and he was checking us out. I decided to turn the dive right then, I turned around to regroup with Chris and saw Mark right on top of me, His eyes told the whole story, he had seen him too and was ready to get out of there. I swim back to Chris and give him the thumbs up, when again I see our friend, this time coming straight towards us, when he got to within 5' I lunged towards him like you would a dog that was threating you. He turned but was clearly not shaken by my act of self defense. When I turn back around Chris, who had not seen the shark yet and thought that my shark sign was because of the two 4 to 5' Bulls minding their own bisness that we had seen eariler, had just shot a nice Amber Jack putting lots of nice new fresh blood in the water. While Chris was trying to get his fish on the stringer Mark and I are standing guard with several more sightings of the shark. Most from a distance but one more pass within 2 feet of me, I could have reached out and touched him. I unclip my shaft from my gun determined that I would free shaft him if he made another approach that close. Finally on the anchor line makeing our way up, Mark was in the lead Followed by Chris then myself at about 60' I feel something brush up against me. Confident that it was our stalker determined to not leave us alone I turned with gun in hand, what I saw was not our shark but some thing even worse!! It was our stringer that Chris was carrying, 4 dead or dieing fish chumming the water right by my head. Relieved that it was the stringer I take one final look down the anchor rope and there he is again, 10' below us and making a tight circle, I think it was at that time that my computer started yelling at me over my accent rate. That was the last time We saw him and I am still kicking myself in the butt for not haveing my camera.
