The Chicago Tribune is reporting that the one buddy who lived said he got brushed by the shark at first and initially thought it was a dolphin, but quickly realized it wasnt They are also reporting this attack happened at 16ft in something like 50-60 feet of water.

Same reports about the diver calmly trying to free himself from the shark. This story urks me, but then again...I doubt I would dive in waters known for Great Whites...but it could happen anywhere at anytime.

As an Instructor in South Australia we are all sad at what has happened here. but please do not put of coming down to South Australia to scuba dive there is lots to see and do here you may see our Leafy Seadragon.
