Hello Divenuts.
We have the wild idea to find divers what want to buy shares in a divevessel in Fiji. Later move the ship through the pacific. (Vanuau, Solomons, Tonga etc) The aluminium catamaran gets rebuild in Fiji right now. It is 50`ft by 20`ft has space for max 6 divers overnight in 3 cabins. We want to do expedition trips to discover the 90% undiscovered reefs around here. We run a divecompany in Fiji since 93 but would like to give up our landbase to make something special and new. Could anybody of you imagen to put some cash into that? Or tell us what you think about or if you heard anything like it before. We are looking forward to hear from you.
 
There have been several attempts made to do timeshare cruise ships over the years, and I think there are a few operating now, but most of them foundered on the issue of regulation and licensing. If you are only going to be operating in one jurisdiction it might be possible, but I would check with the local authorities to see if it is feasible before going to far.
 
Thanks for the replies. Okey the issue with the licencing is sorted we run a diveshop here in Fiji since many years and got all that in place already. Plus we are behind the point of return, the boat is half finished and we just need the second part be completet. We defently will run the baby in a few years anyway. Earlier would be great!
It would be highly appreciated if you could give us a few examples of timeshare boats?

Just curious, have you already figured out what a 1/6th share will cost?
