Does anybody know anything about the Shaker Plant in Lake Travis? I believe it is somewhere in the Hippie Hollow area and something like 150 feet deep??? Do you need a boat to access it?

Thanks

What's a Shaker Plant?

is near Hippie Hollow. At present lake levels, the top of the road leading down into the pit is ~125-130'...

Very long surface swim without a boat.

I'd say the shaker plant is definitely a boat dive. I've considered scootering to it, but would only do that if I was desperate. It's across the river channel from Hippie Hollow. There is structure(concrete pillars) and debris starting at the top of the wall . That's about 70' +/- depending on the lake level. I've seen debris pretty much all the way to the river bottom, which would start getting around the 150' range. As far as Lake Travis diving goes, this site is about as good as it gets.
