Assault is the topic of this thread. This is what the thread is all about. It didn't lead into this topic. But if someone is not allowed to talk about the topic and the purpose of this thread is only to convey one's sympathy then it should be put into a new category that is for support purposes. This is under basic scuba discussions and the topic is Assault at 60 feet. I have not left this topic. I do not dismiss that this incident happened. I'm simply stating people get this mob mentality and persecute someone based on one side of the story.

And no I did not say women were dumb. Again do not try to paraphrase my post into what you think I'm saying. There can be misinterpretation. People can feel violated when there was no ill meaning to what occurred. You never know how someone will react to something. Everyone is different and for you to say that I'm calling women dumb because I believe someone can legitimately feel violated when there was no ill intent is simply incorrect.

That's not how I read it. I think he said, in a panic situation, she is bolting to the surface and he grabs the wrong thing in an effort to slow her ascent and she might have thought it was intentional when it was not. Hope I read that right?

I just got a PM from someone that explained that this poster, , is posting on some other board and this incident is being discussed, which accounts for how he heard about this. I'm still not saying it's legit, but it explains how he might have heard about this. The poster also said that the accused does not use computers and does not speak English and someone is tanslating for him. If it turns out that he is the real person, I think I would like to hear the other side, as they do in any court room.

Kind of hypocritical isn't it.

I saw no attacks thus far other than when you tried to change my words around and try to make my statements look like an attack against women. Good thing you are a MOD.
