We've had a Sevylor("Sevy") Tahiti model for over five years thats held up well-it doubles as our live raft and a way to get to shore when we are diving and cruising(over 6 weeks per year) on our 23 ft trailerable sailboat. We also pull it behind us when diving in tricky currents if we think we might have trouble getting back to the boat. No leaks so far, except in one seat-backrest....Peace...SaildiversBaroo:Looking to purchase a kayak for calm water (intracoastal paddling). Anyone know about these Sevylor Tandom kayaks? Thanks!
I forgot to mention-I regard to paddling-if its very windy(over 12-15 knots)-you must really balance your stroke technique or the wind will push the nose leeward and you'll do an occasional circle-but its a nice break and you get to see the scenery...Peace...Saildiver :dazzler1:Baroo:Looking to purchase a kayak for calm water (intracoastal paddling). Nice attitude, you'd even be able to enjoy getting stuck in a whirlpool.saildiver:.... you'll do an occasional circle-but its a nice break and you get to see the scenery...
Well -If I was going down in a whirlpool, I'd first paddle with all my might-and if I was still going down-then I'd say "me mantra"....as Ringo of the Beatles used to say.Bob3:Nice attitude, you'd even be able to enjoy getting stuck in a whirlpool.
Living close to that MIU have anything to do with it?
Hey BOB3-whats your explanation for your obviously good attitude-you been swimming in the sea of consciousness too?...Peace...Saildiver.saildiver:Well -If I was going down in a whirlpool, I'd first paddle with all my might-and if I was still going down-then I'd say "me mantra"....as Ringo of the Beatles used to say.Yeah -meditation,diving, sailing kinda go together like Peanut butter-Jelly-Bannana :11ztongue sandwiches...Peace...Saildiver.
