I agree, and thank you for your constructive comments.. they are flat. Using the internal flash helps some, but with the super macro setting, the flash is disabled. I've tried setting my ISO to 50, but then the shutter speed has to drop so low to get any light in. The photos come out really really underexposed. Getting more attachments for the camera is an on going battle for me. If I invest in more, the focus becomes the photo not the dive. Does that make sense? An external strobe would help a lot though. Hadn't thought of a macro lens.. hmmm I like that...

I completely understand your statement that the focus becomes the photo not the dive. Sometimes I wonder how much I miss on a dive while I'm taking pictures. Have you considered manually setting white balance if thatis an option on your camera? If you are going to use ambient lighting that might be your best option.

My old C-5050 had a one touch white balance option. You aimed the camera at something white (maybe a a dive slate), pushed the button for one touch white balance, and that was supposed to set the correct white balance for the light that was available for the water conditions. Correct white balance will produce correct colors.

oh.. hadn't played with that feature much. Good idea!

Any OLY-350 users still around? I have yet again reread this thread and am amazed at the wealth of information contained. As I learn more and more about the camera, I need to keep coming back and rereading. The best nugget of info here? READ THE ADVANCED MANUAL! LOL.

Been shooting a lot of super macro. My head is buried in some small nudi and I miss the spotted eagle ray.. LOL
Am able to get some pretty close, halfway decent shots.
This is of a feather algae anemone, about 1/4" wide, color corrected, but did not clean up.

I haven't had my rig wet in ages, I've moved on to GoPros and video..............

guess I should either sell my ikelite housing and both SP-350's, or just let them keep gather dust.

Go Pros are just SO MUCH LESS room in the suitcase!
