set up for the Inon 2000s

It seems that I might be buying the Inon 2000s after searching for strobes for the past weeks. Can anyone of you recommend a good set up for my Oly 5060wz and PT 020. a setup that would be economical and good.
Is it right that I don't have to use a fibre optic cord for the camera in order to use the strobe?

I'm at work so i can't elaborate but went with this option... Was pretty pleased with the outcome. Next trip I'll have to try more Manual settings (shot mostly Aperture priority).
