We are pleased to announce that the Shipwreck Exploration Team of British Columbia has become the latest GUE Affiliate!
The Shipwreck Exploration Team emerged from a shared passion to explore and document the numerous wrecks lying in the waters off British Columbia, Canada. Shipwrecks in the coastal waters of B.C. deteriorate relatively quickly. Our goal is to locate, and document these wrecks as they are at the beginning of the 21st century using marine archaeology techniques such as surveys, video, and still photos. While interested in all B.C. wrecks, our team focuses on working closely with the Underwater Archaeological Society of British Columbia to locate and exploration deep or otherwise challenging wreck sites. The Shipwreck Exploration Team strives to document these many wrecks in the safest, most efficient and most ethical way possible.
Our team is conducting scooter searches, looking for a 19th century sailing ship, this coming weekend. We're always looking for new members to join our team as we search for shipwrecks in BC!
