I am a recently certified instructor and would like to make myself more marketable to potential employers, I'm interested in taking some seminars with various manufacturers to become a service tech, however I have no idea about going about doing this since I'm not currently employed with an LDS. Any ideas?

Most manufacturers will require you to be affiliated with a shop who sells their brand before attending a clinic. One of the best places to do them is at DEMA or another regional dive show that they are attending. I just completed the Mares Expert Clinic at DEMA this year for the same reason.
