You need a good level of experience and comfort for this one.

SEVEN DIVES!

CATALINA ISLAND is a special destination for scuba divers. It offers gorgeous diving in areas much less dove than the mainland. If you were to take the ferry over to the island, it alone would cost you $66... and that's not factoring in your food or diving. This 1.5-day boat promises to be the most cost-effective way for you to dive these island sites.

Oil Rigs:
When we wake up the next morning after a fine day of diving the island, we head for home, but not before stopping off at the oil rigs and doing two dives there!

MANDATORY ITEMS:
A good safety sausage and whistle. (At a minimum.) Don't show up on the boat without these.

BOAT LOCATION
:
22nd St Landing San Pedro, Ca Take I-405 N toward Long Beach. Take exit 32B to merge onto I-710 S (be careful of the exits ramps. It comes on you quickly.) Continue onto CA-47 S/Seaside Fwy/Vincent Thomas Bridge. At the base of the bridge, take exit for Harbor Blvd toward Catalina Island/Ports O Call Village/San Pedro. Turn right onto N Harbor Blvd . Continue on S Harbor Blvd. Continue onto Miner St/Viaduct St. Take a right on 22nd St. Boat is docked behind 22nd st Landing Restaurant. Drop your gear off on the corner and find parking across the street.

BOARDING:
You may sleep on the boat (Starting at 7 pm on Friday) or come on early Saturday morning. Boat leaves the dock 7:00 am on Saturday. The boat does not wait for late arrivers.

BUNKS
: Bunks are first come, first served. (A drawn curtain or bag present usually means the bunk is taken.) There are only 24 bunks, so save the bigger bunks for couples please.

Yes, you must be certified with a good amount of experience and skill under your belt. The oil rigs, at least, are classified solidly as "Advanced" dives.
