Does Anyone Have Any Info On Homemade O2 Or Co2 Sensors ?

Back in the days of the electrolung rebreather (circa 1968) the diver would have to add the chemicals that made up the sensor prior to every dive. Since teledyne and others started offering pre-made O2 cells that type of activity is no longer nessasary. Same reason we have xenon flashes on our cameras instead of making magnesuim/gunpowder bombs to take a picture.
There are commercial CO2 sensors on the market as well but these seem to not perform well in the presence of moisture and so none have been found suitable for RB applications.
If you should invent one though please let me know because you and I will get rich real quick.:D

I now see you have multiple posts on a variety of CCR subjects asking lots of "home made" questions. Are you for real? My advice would be to get some real training and experience with commercially available rebreathers before trying to "build a better mousetrap". Just my 2 cents.

If you are interested in exploring home built rebreather technology, this is one good place to start: $100 Oxygen Rebreather
