Problem with shipping on boats is that they tend to charge per container or area, which means youll end up paying the same freight if its small as if its large. Finding somoene that import stuff in containers that has some available space and cutting a deal with them is an option I know people use when they import stuff here from the US (Like the motorcycles my dad waste all my heritage on  )

That's what I was thinking of. Shipping companies will accumulate stuff until they can fill a container.

The sea freight is based on volume, not weight. It is much cheaper than any other shipping method. It used to be calculated 1 CM. 1m x 1m x 1m based on my experience. The cons is time. It might 3~5 weeks. You need to check the customs rate in your county. But, it is used item and will be still cheap even after paying the customs.. The sea freight used to pack for you. The only thing you need to arrange is to send it to the sea freight cargo or to arrange the pick up from the seller...

Good news!!!

One of my dive buddies over here is sending a few 40ft containers over from the US with materials for his work. Can get a compressor into one of those :) :) :).

Now the next question, where to buy a good used compressor for around $US2.5k -$US3k. Ideally gas, maybe a Capitano, (10 year) old Mariner, K14 etc.

Been watching eBay, any other suggestions?
