SOME people around here actually use the Isotherms for ice diving in the winter, and quite a few use them in Lake Superior too. The water temp won't be an issue if you're not going too deep - and I'm thinking 50ft+ here.
Since it's not a drysuit, it WILL compress with depth. I've never had mine below about 65 feet, and it was still OK there in about 50 degree water. I've heard others say that compression takes the suit down to about nothing at 100 feet.
Hope that helps. And definitely, try one on, first. I'm 6'1" and about 170 and take a large in most things, but wear a medium Isotherm. I tried on a large and was walking around on the ankles, and the wrist seals were at about mid-hand.
