Self Serve gas is available at one shop where I dive. Pretty nice, never have to worry about hours, or short fills. They have staff there who will show you how to use it, and you pay via paypal.

I did not know this was possible. Is it not dangerous?
 
I've been doing my own fills at my LDS for some time now.
