Hello -

I have been doing natural light photography and wanted to get into lights / strobes. I have a Nikon p5100 camera in Fantasea housing and was looking for a strobe/mount that is simple and compatible with my camera.

Would any slave strobe work? :dontknow: If not then any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

As long as you can turn off the preflash and only use the main flash any strobe with a slave sensor would work. Works best at night as in bright light the sun overpowers the camera flash so the slave doesn't see the flash to turn on.

You can add an inexpensive Fantasea Remora strobe to this. It has a fiber optic cable to connect in front of your camera flash. That helps it work in bright light and other situations reliably. I think they have a kit with tray and flex arm. Another option is the Intova ISS2000 with kit. Both are good basic strobes that should serve well.
