I was wondering where OP plans to dive because for instance, Hawaii is kinda like Bonaire. Don't leave anything! in the vehicle.

It depends on where I am diving, and how many people are around.
I have a faraday bag for my fob, and can keep dumb key with me if I decide.
Most local places, I leave rear hatch up and doors unlocked if there are other divers around. If not, I may or may not lock it.
