. . . .if you read my comments carefully, you will see that my stupid remarks are squarely directed at the secrecy.
At no stage do I call anyone stupid, the closest being my comment about Ikelite making a dumb decision. . .
Phil, you're clutching at straws when you say that Zen has updated their website in the last few days and that therefore makes it one of the most up to date in the industry? What a load of . . . .! People have been trying to get answers from these guys for ages and for a while there, Chris Parsons was getting on line and helping out. This is what I'm talking about, if it wasn't for you and Edward Lai continually posting updates there would be nothing but the 'stupid' void that I'm referring to. I understand that you are a very busy man and that we eat into your private time and we (collectively) appreciate it, but I again state that we as consumers are being treated with contempt by the manufacturers who want us to buy and use their equipment, but won't participate in our discussions!
Phil, what you have done is exactly what I've/we've been looking for. You have explained the questions and decision making processes faced by the equipment manufacturers, but why can't they take five mins to put a post on their websites?
BTW, why does it take a curmudgeon's grumbles to bring these points to the public? I know that you are employed by all these companies in some form or another and it's no coincidence that they are all located in Fort lauderdale, but, are you speaking for the companies or are you being your honest, friendly self and helping us out?
My complaint remains about the secrecy and in my opinion it remains stupid. . .

Hi Bill,
I agree and totally understand your point about 6000? questions. . .BUT, all these companies run websites and all it would take is 5mins once a week for them to say "Hi Guys, we are currently looking into the new ??? it looks like it could be a bitch to house but. . ." Now if they don't have either the five mins or technical savvy to carry out either of these two things to keep their customers up to date, and happy, then maybe they should find out why?

Getting new products out is hard work; doing it while answering thousands of questions about the future is way harder.
