My early impressions, including a night dive, are that the yellow lenses are providing better viz than clear. I don't have a clear Ultra, so it's not a perfect comparison using 2 very different masks.

But I'll put it this way: When I buy another Ultra as a spare, it will have yellow lenses, not clear or magenta.
 
I have the red version - I got a great deal at a DEMA show. I love the ground-in -2.0 gauge readers.
Get the --->clear<---.
 
I have all three ( mengata, yellow, and clear) one with the purge. I wish I did not order the purge valve as it rubs on my nose when I'm below 60 ft and becomes real sore. Get slap straps to replace the factory strap.
