I have a regulator with 2 Seasport 2nd stages (the first stage is a Dacor 900) as well as a BC that is made by Seasport. I bought this equipment 9 years ago from a friend of my instructors. The original owner was a salvage diver and seemed honest. He was no longer diving because he was getting older and had hurt his back on a salvage dive. The gear looked great and performed well. I am just now getting back into diving and went to get the equipment serviced and no one has ever heard of this brand. The only link I can find for Seasport related to diving "gear" is on a gear sale site that states that the equipment is actually a "Sport" version of something that Kirby Morgan produced. If you look at my 2nd Stage and some of the ones on the Kirby Morgan website, they look identical. All you would have to do is switch logos. One of the guys at ScubaToys told me he thought it might be cheap junk gear but my instructor thought it was good gear and he was a good friend of mine at the time and he has a good reputation. I am not sure if I was steered wrong or if this gear is just something that is obscure from the past that was great......but no longer heard of. Anyone have any information on this???? I am at a loss.

Thought someone on here would have heard of this brand.......makes me really worried that I used to dive with this stuff 9 years ago and thought it was actually good gear....

The 1st stage on this setup is a Dacor 900. Is the 1st stage even worth salvaging and can I get parts for it? and where?

Problem is the Dacor 900 1st stages are "Pre-Mares" and they are no longer making parts for them. There's a chance I might still have some kits for those... but we'd have to do some digging... (We're kinda' in the middle of our move to the new shop.) But, by the time you bought parts, and paid to rebuild that old 1st stage... you could probably darn near buy a new one!

I am just going to give this stuff to my scuba instructor to use for parts when I see him in May. He set me up with the stuff, maybe he will have use for it........

Thanks Larry and love the Aeris Atmos Sport I got from you, can't wait to try it out in the pool next week.

Just in case anyone else might have been looking for this brand (since it took me forever to find anything "real" about this)..................................................

Dear Mr. Mitchell,
The Seasport regulators were made from the Kirby Morgan designs, but
were not manufactured by Kirby Morgan. Our spare parts for the Kirby
Morgan Superflow scuba regulators will probably be fine for the Seasport
units, though I would recommend replacing the old Seasport regulators
with newer Kirby Morgan products. You may want to take a look at our
exploded view & parts lists on our website www.kmdsi.com
Please also see "Spare Parts Kits" on the website for contents listings
of our kits for the scuba regs:
325-105 1st stage deluxe kit
325-321 1st stage, standard kit
325-323 Plastic 2nd stage kit
325-325 Metal 2nd stage kit

Please contact any of our authorized dealers for ordering and pricing
information.
Thank you.

Sincerely,
Kate Irwin

Subject: scuba regulators

Nine years ago I purchased a set of gear from a person who did
professional salvage diving. Some of the gear I bought from him was the
brand Seasport. This is primarily the second stage, octo and bcd. I
have scoured the entire internet looking for information on Seasport and
found only two postings. One of them stated that the 2nd stage and octo
were "sport" versions of Kirby Morgan's products. When I look at
pictures of your regulators, they are identical to the ones I have. All
you would have to do is swap the sticker on the front of the second
stage. I was told the regulators I had were junk, but I knew the person
well and he would have never bought junk and the regulators breathed
extremely well. I am now in search of rebuild kits and that is why I am
looking for information about these regulators. Could you please let me
know if what I found was true?

Thank you
