If you are trying to use the Samyang 7.5mm in the precision dome port, dome theory tells us that for subjects at infinity you'll need to set the focus at somewhere close to 19cm (7.5"), and for subjects touching the front of the dome at close to 9.5cm (3.7") when the port is underwater. I'd be inclined to initially set the focus at around 17cm and fix the aperture at about f/5.6 and then pretty much everything from just a few inches beyond the dome to infinity should be in focus...

Just bought the Precision dome and 8mm panny. Great shot of Tryons Risbecia. What settings did you use?

Tried setting the distance to 0.8ft and aperture at f5.6...also used the LCD at 7x magnification to check focus and it seemed to work okay. Vignetting pretty bad but at least I know can can do a little bit of UWA with the samyang. I think setting the distance to 0.5 or less would work much better...I'll try it next time. F5.6 was too bright, tho...probably F8-F11 next time. Will post pics later.

and yes, the lighting sucks...i was only half trying to work that...the goal for today was get some pics that were semi-focused. next time, i'll post some "refined" pics.

Hi,
At 0.8ft you are close to 25cm which is well beyond infinity. Definitely use 0.5ft (0.15m); it's marked on the lens and at f/8 (or f/11) everything from exceptionally close to infinity should look great!
But nice pics anyway!
