has anyone actually shot one using the zen or precision ports? i know i'd have to "set it and forget it" (may be a bit of a misspeak here) but curious to see if anyone has had any success using one underwater....

I have tried it with the Precision dome. It works but the 8mm Panasonic fisheye works better still. I guess because the Precision dome is designed specifically for this lens?

could you post some shots? i am very tempted to try this myself...at worst, i wind up using the lens for land photography. thanks.

Thanks, Phil...have you used it anymore since these shots? It looks doable in the 8mm housing with decent results. What did you set the lens at?

i meant to post "nice shots with the 8mm, Sail Rock..." but my tablet can't seem to separate multi-quote threads (or it may be me :()...looks like i might be able to go with the samyang and 8mm dome while i save to buy the panny 8mm....who knows. thanks for posting.

No I had it on loan & I didn't use it much underwater. Focus was no problem; you basically just set it on infinity.

I have not regretted buying the Pana 8mm for a moment. It is perfect for UW photography & I still recommend it. Those great photos from Sail Rock Diver say it all.

i just saw that B&H has the panny 8mm for $629...looks like my cancelled 9-18mm order is gonna go toward a panny 8 :)....now i gotta move some gear to get the port.

That sounds like a great price. And this is a lens that no doubt will outlast your camera bodies.

otoh, i just bought a samyang as well...looks like precision port first, then 8mm.
