DementialFaith,

BC lift is not your problem. The size small ProQD has 30lbs of lift. It should be plenty of lift for single tank diving.

You weigh 105 lbs...it's time for the gym and all-you-can-eat buffet lines . 30lbs is definitely too much lead for someone of your size.

You mentioned that the size of your ProQD is "small". It's too big for you. If I recall correctly, the SQ size small BCs are designed to fit divers in the 130~150lbs range. Result: trapped air ... more lead. If your drysuit does not fit you well, the problem becomes compounded.

See if you can find someone trade to your size small BC for a XS, and work on significantly reducing the amount of lead you wear. I use 18lbs with a 7mm wetsuit and jetfins (I am about 5 lbs. overweighted at the beginning of the dive, because I am weighted to be neutral at the end of the dive).

Da bc works well w/ my wet suit, and my dry suit is definately mysize, seeing how it works very well underwater, but yea, i did found out that i was overweight w/ leads. (im not sure whether i have small or extra small though =D)

I have the Latitude and have logged about 30 dives in it over the last 2 months and am very happy with it.

I meticulously clean my gear every time and cannot see there would be a problem with the weight retaining velcro. I guess it depends on how you use/abuse it and how much weight you need.

I reduced the weight in the pouches and put a little in the back pockets.

The Pro QD+ etc are really good BC's but I couldn't justify the extra $$$.
