My girlfreind was looking at a used seaquest explorer on ebay. It does not look very adjustable. She is an OW diver and not really interested in going farther, does anyone have any info or opinons on these units?

From your description it sounds like a rather old model BC which I used. the one I am thinking of does not have any shoulder adjustment and is fastened only with a velcro flap over the abdomen.

It is nice and lightweight; low profile with very little drag .
However, I don't think it is very suitable for a lady unless she has a V-shaped upper torso as this BC will ride up on the surface. I liked this BC and used it till it fell apart completely. If it is the same, I would hesitate to buy this BC becos the plastic and rubber parts may ahve reached its lifespan and degraded. My old bc literally fell apart and allthe plastic kinda just peeled off. check on age of BC before bidding.
