I have the opportunity to purchase a used Seaquest Black Diamond BC for roughly $115.
Anyone think this is a good idea? I've dove with one before and liked it...

a very good idea if it is in good shape and, as you said, you like it. That is a deal.

That's a great BCD. Buy it now before they change their minds!

Or someone else might buy it. :)

I have been diving mine for three years and it is holding up great, still looks like when I bought it. The only problem I have had was the inflater fell apart on a dive one time.

I own a Black Diamond and I love it! For US$115, it is a great deal. You won't regret it. Just a warning concerning Seaquest Balance or Black Diamond Back Inflate BC's: They tend to trap air. When releasing all the air out of the BC, make sure your body is almost upright, remove the inflator from its chest strap, raise the inflator hose nozzle all the way up and raise you left shoulder slightly (so that shoulder valve will be the highest point on your BC). Be gentle with the inflator hose when you raise it above your head. The older rigid hose may break. The newer softer and more flaxible hose is better. In some cases, you may want to rock your body side to side to make sure all the air is out.

Thanks for the input guys...I ended up just going ahead and buying it! (Figured I couldn't pass up the opportunity...and if I grow out of it/stop liking it, I can always sell it to someone like colin.wen!

To ScubaRambo,
Haha, thanks.
But I do believe you wont sell it.^^
I am searching for Back inflation BC or BP/W ATM.
This one is one of my choose.
I am still looking around just because all the price are kind of expensive for a student like me.
If a black diamond only cost 150.-, definitely I will just pay and try it.
Good luck with your Black diamond.
Colin
