I'm a Fish!
I have a Seaquest Balance BC here size XL that was donated to our PURP gear drive. It's a back inflate style not a wrap-around jacket.
It appears to be in excellent shape. I have no idea on age but I do know that Seaquest got absorbed by another brand name and is no longer around.
I'm wanting to sell it because the money could be used better for game bags and lift bags for our urchin diving team. This type of BC would be fine for general recreational diving but for urchin work dives it lacks D-rings and places to clip off the numerous things needed to do our job.
I'm going to Craigslist it, but I don't know what I should ask that's fair, but I don't want to give it away either.

Unscrew the inflator from the bladder and gently try to crack the threaded connection to the bladder which is welded to the bladder. After it cracks or pulls away from the bladder, you can remove the tank cam band and be happy you didn't sell it to someone who could get hurt.

Hey Eric.... Thats actually a really nice back inflate / weight integrated bc.. I assume that it has the weight pockets. Also makes for a very nice warm water travel BC. If it truly is in excellent condition then I think it's easily worth a $100....plus shipping. I'd hook it up to some pressure to make sure that the inflator, overpressure valves and dump valves are working. Also, leave it fully inflated for a couple of days and see if it holds... Best of luck with your PURP program!

I paid $100 for one only two years ago and felt it was well worth it.

@Whitrzac seaquest was bought out in 1990, having the seaquest branding puts it at probably close to 30 years old at this point

i would be wary of leaking from the bladder and the inflator fitting failing at this point
I bought a Seaquest Black Diamond in 1999 so they were still around then and even a few years after that because I remember when they changed the styling of the newer Black Diamond a few years after I got mine. I sold mine and went to BP/W shortly after.
I'm going to say I saw things labelled "Seaquest" well into the early 2000's. I don't know if AL kept the name for a while or what.
This BC is in really good shape, no fading, no fraying, everything is there including weight pockets and the safety sausage it comes with is still rolled up in the zip pocket under the right weight pocket. The velcro the weight pockets in isn't all worn out either like so many are. I inflated it and it stayed pumped up for a day.
The guy who donated it went to a BP/W early on and this thing hung in an indoor closet for years.
I have a guy interested in it and I'll tell him $50 cash.
He will be happy.
I can get another green bag and some bolt snaps with that.

If it’s been stored out of direct sunlight and direct heat sources then it’s likely as good as it was 20 years ago.

I had one hanging out under the balcony got the afternon sun for a year half is faded brown works great
