Are you sure Dräger is owned by Aqualung? Rather big company, diving is just a tiny part of what they do. From their press releases Aqualung only distributes their recreational diving equipment SCRs, BCs, regs etc.). Even the Nova FFM isn't sold through Aqualung ... .

Anyway, here two pics of the Secumar2/42 vest.
You'll see it used with Dräger LAR O2 rebreathers almost everytime.
Aqualung took over the rebreather marketing and sale for Draeger (most of their other dive gear as well).
Draeger is an independent company from Germany, with a very long tradition, specialized on compreesed gases and eqipment to deal with them especially for medical and safety applications. Scuba is a tiny part of what they do (Eventhough since the 20's).

Well Morg it looks like you might have lost that bet since Aqualung owns that rebreather company. The diver that my wife spoke to said they use those heavy helmet setup's with an air line hooked up to the surface, as well as the rebreathers. I think the bc's, Zeagles in his case, were usually just for the light jobs that they might have to do that were construction related. Maybe you could say that you were both right and call it even :) hehe

Again: Aqualung doesn't own Draeger, they only distribute they dive gear ;)
