My buddy has one, he's had it for over a year now - he rarely dives so I use the camera ALOT. We've never greased the Orings, per instructions and have had great luck with the camera not flooding. I would say I've used the camera on over 30 dives, probably more.

The camera takes good fun pictures, but I'd really like higher quality pictures with more detail. I had a Oly 5060, but flooded it with a quickness - dealing with the 310 w/external strobe for a bit longer until I replace my Oly with my tax return :D

The oring looks like it is held in place by some goop. My oring popped out and I mistakenly (stupidly) scraped some of that goop off and now I fear I'm going to have to bring it to the dive shop to have it "fixed." Any ideas what I can do? I don't dare dive with it as it is.

No goop on the one I use, if you are worried and dive often(often enough for a single dive without the camera not to impact your photography career too much  ), dive with just the housing - just to be sure.

Thanks for the review of the Digital Reefmaster.

I've got the 35mm film version and Like it, but would rather have digital and they have finally gone down in price nough.

I've got the 3x lens and it works great. You just put it on the outside of the camera housing. Never gotten a blury picture with it, but it's hard to figure out which pictures you used it on with the film one as you don't see them until you develop them.

I've used the moisture munchers before and not used them and never noticed any difference. The only time I've had my camera fog up was when I had it in a cold hotel room and then took it outside.

You can get the 3x Macro lens for about $30 bucks. It clips to your camera lanyard.

They've got the DC310 for about $350, but Christmas bills were more than I expected so I haven't ponied up the cash for it yet.

Thanks for those links.

I do dive a lot, but rarely carry it....mostly I just use it for vacation diving, but I may take it diving with just the housing and a small weight (wrapped in newspaper maybe) inside just to check for leaks.

I have a DC300 but I wanted a new memory card to hold more on there. You can check out www.pricewatch.com to find the best prices for cards of different sizes and where they are located. I would highly recommend it.

Suggest you contact Sealife about your O-ring. Here is a link on Sealife's web page addressing housing O-rings on the DC300 and DC310 http://www.sealife-cameras.com/quicklubetest2005.html .

There are plenty of positive comments on the board regarding Sealife's service and backing up their products. Good luck.
