I bought the micro HD+ after my GoPro went to the bottom of the channel in Coz. I will tell you first and foremost, I am NOT a rabid photographer. What I like about this camera is this:
1. It is idiot proof
2. It has everything my GoPro had in one package without having to buy accessory filters, cases, LCD screens, memory cards, or batteries.
3. It is simple to operate
4. It does reasonably good color correction without lights and takes excellent pics with a light.
5. Did I mention it's idiot proof?
6. The battery lasts a loooooooong time, as in hours!
7. It has TONS of storage
8. Almost forgot, it's idiot proof
Buy it and don't look back!

Just got it Friday from Amazon with the 2500 Sea Dragon light and going diving Thursday, Friday, and Saturday off of Boynton Beach, FL. I have the camera set for deep underwater...any recommendations for the light 100%, 50%, 25% or just experiment depending on visibility, etc.

Went to the iTunes APP store and did a search on "Action Cam HD" and got fifty or more options, none of which looked correct. Is there another name for the App?

Just experiment. I have been using the Micro HD with the 1200 Seadragon in lakes and low vis NE waters for the past 3 weeks. Impressive so far. I keep it on the highest setting which is about half power for you. Good luck and enjoy.
Since you guys are east coast and I am west coast, I would have to take half a day off, but I did load the latest software update and it is now working, other than the new version has what looks like o black space bar right across the main screen, it goes away when you select a picture or video but it is somewhat annoying.
