I just purchased a Sealife DC1200 MAXX and was looking for some suggestions for either a float strap or perhaps an lanyard clip assembly like the Innovative Smart Coil Lanyard or the Aqua Quick Release Coil Lanyard where I can connect the camera via the D ring and have the lanyard to extend as needed while make sure it is secure. I see many float straps but they do not look very functional but perhaps I am mistaken. Please share your thoughts.

Thank you in advance.

I use the innovative smart coil lanyard. I attach it to the clip on the hand strap and to my BC. Works fine for me.

Don't know if you really require a floating strap as your unit floats on its own? Which is also something to consider when strapping it to your BCD.

Personally I just use the wrist strap that came with the camera.

If you are using the SeaLife Strobes, you will find that the camera is positively bouyant and a float strap will make it worse. The wrist lanyard on the housing has a clip and you can blip off with that.
