Good news for the dive industry: A recent survey among active divers by Pioneer Research, manufacturer of SeaLife Cameras, shows that 35% of divers are planning to travel more often on dive vacations with only 4% planning fewer dive vacations.
That market trend favors new light technologies like SeaLifes new powerful Sea Dragon lights, which can be used as handheld dive lights or as Flex-Connect photo or video lights.
One of the market-changing features of SeaLifes new Flex-Connect system is the ability to quickly click together compact lights, strobes, arms, trays and grips in just seconds, even underwater. Flex-Connect allows new creative combinations - for example, the ability to connect three 2000 lumen Sea Dragon lights for a total firepower of six thousand lumens.
We are experiencing a new trend in underwater photography, says Sven Harms, VP of Marketing at SeaLife. Due to these new lights and batteries, divers are admiring and capturing the brilliant colors of sea creatures, reefs, and sponges not visible under normal light conditions. Another new feature, perfect for dive travel, is the incredibly compact size of the new Sea Dragon lights and Flex-Connect arms and grips. They can be packed in a light-weight case only a fraction of the size of previous bulky camera gear cases.
