For those who have a Sea Tux dry suit and need repairs, or for those who were wanting to get a Sea Tux dry suit, the owner Paul recently sold the business and retired.

The new owner is Ryan and the cell number I have is 250-686-8453. The new company is called King Tide and is across from the marine supply store in Coombs on Vancouver Island.

It is my understanding that Ryan is also a commercial diver and not always available due to work schedules. Best to call ahead and make an appointment.

An update to this post - the new owner is Evan not Ryan. I was given the incorrect information.

Doesn't matter. With a part time owner it won't last much longer anyway.

Hey there, I’m Evan from King Tide Drysuits, formerly Seatux Diving. And just want say that while I appreciate your support and faith in our work and business, we are very
Much thriving… With multiple new custom suits being produced and ordered every week, as well as countless repairs and components being purchased. The most difficult part of operating so far, is finding suitable help to provide the high quality standards we aim to achieve set by the previous owner Paul Smood. Who, incidentally still helps out, gives insights and advice and has a key to the shop for anything he would like to do himself. Our website is not up yet, as the focus has been on keeping up with the demand of working divers. A demand that has exceeded our expectations so far, and shows no sign of slowing down. Operating without a sign up for months, nor a website and still “swimming” in work is a contradiction to your assumptions…As a commercial dive harvester myself for 18 going on 19 years, I have an extensive knowledge of what professional divers demand, and along with 28 yrs of experience in the building trades industry, these skills have transferred quite well into the craft of building custom tailored drysuits. Our address is

2430 Alberni Hwy in Coombs BC

and our website is (under construction)

Kingtidedrysuits.com

I will continue to run a commercial dive boat as Captain from ~April-August, seemingly a time of year with Less demand from industry coincidently.
The addition of competent staff will be a welcomed addition to our team. Although, since training under Paul in 2023, then acquiring the business and setting up in March of 2024, we did not experience any significant back up or pause in our business.
We aim to keep divers blowing bubbles in the best fitting and most comfortable Drysuits on the coast. With a glass half full, not half empty attitude.
Doesn't matter. With a part time owner it won't last much longer anyway.
