Regarding testing the pockets.....

Make sure you put some weights in the BC wt-integration pouches while testing how accessible the pockets are. I have a Pro QD and like it.....comments are similar to those offered above.

I have no problem reaching the pockets of my Pro-QD - just attach a plastic practice golf ball (the "whiffle ball" kind) to the zipper tab. Works like a champ. I use the Pro-QD for recreational open water dives, especially when I'm wearing more than 3 mils. It has plenty of lift, is comfortable and allows me to spend a long time on the surface (a frequent requirement when instructing) with minimum effort.

I dive with a Seaquest Pro QD and the only problem is with the pockets. Thanks joewr for the additional cumberband pocker tip - will have to try that. As all my diving is in cold water, the added obstacle of trying to delve into pockets with a pair of 5mm kevlar gloves is a pain. I now sling everything off my D rings. Still, it is a great jacket - VERY comfortable, great horizontal buoyancy (if you weight the backplate pockets with 1kg shot pouches) and tons of lift. The integrated weights are well placed too, easy to remove underwater (only gripe with them is WHY OH WHY ARE THE TOGGLES IN GUNSHIP GREY AND NOT FLOURESCENT YELLOW OR GREEN!!)

Anyway, good luck with your purchase, whatever BC you buy

Ive used the SQ Pro QD on my last dozen dives or so, and really like it. It has plenty of adjustment features which adapt nicely depending on what WS you are wearing. I dont usually use the integrated weight belt but my buddy does and he really enjoys that feature. Im going to be diving this weekend again and will give the i-belt a try.
