Sea Otter Classic

For those thinking of going to monterey on april 14-17 take note. The annual Sea Otter Classic bike race will be going on at Laguna Seca. They usually have about 30 thousand spectators, maybe it has grown since I last saw statistics. Every Hotel I know of is booked and those that have rooms are charging multiple arms and legs just for a nights stay. Give that a thought before you head down. I'm heading down and plan to sleep in my truck in the lower parking lot at the breakwater. Getting a room to stay in should be hell, and just getting around town will be more difficult too.

Yeah...I think my brother is going to be racing the Sea Otter. I thought about going down but it's going to be way to crowded.

I have raced it in the past, I might even make that race a surface interval for me. Always some interesting characters at the mountain bike races.

uh oh... I'm re doing my DIR-F that weekend... This could be bad. I don't think sleeping in the truck will do for the 3 days of pain and suffering
