Awesome Footage! I love how energetic and "in-your-face" Sea Lions can be. Completely night and day when compared to Harbor Seals in terms of attitude.

For years I have been a little scared of them after a bull grabbed me at Marineland, threw me around and then bit my elbow. It's a weird feeling watching them play without screaming. :)

I've encountered one bull at Marineland and another at Scorpion Anchorage. Both were oblivious to my presence and kept on about their bullish business.

Todd Hammer's buddy was resting on the surface after a spear-fishing session at Flat Rock when something violently tugged him down underwater. It let him go and then again grabbed onto him. He then thrusted his spear down into the water over and over to scare away whatever was grabbing at him. After putting his mask back on he checked underwater only to find a large bull Sea Lion at the bottom looking back up at him.
