It's been 2 years and I pulled out my Sea Life Micro 2 because I'm sick of not diving. I plugged my Sea Life in to charge and nothing. It worked fine when I last went diving. I checked the contacts, tried different cords, held the power and shutter button for 20 seconds, left it plugged in and nothing. Is this thing just dead or is there anything else I can try? It would be a shame if it's just dead. Thanks in advance for any insight.

contact sealife, they are very responsive

+1 for contacting support: I've had some success using "dumb" chargers on batteries that "smart" chargers considered dead, but I'd hesitate to try that on a camera. Especially given how good SeaLife support is.

Had that happen to me a couple of years ago. I did nothing except curse and three days it charged again.

wish I had seen your post when you first posted it. Same camera and same problem here. Contacted Sealife and they told me to try certain procedures all which failed. They asked me to send them the camera and the charging cord and they would look at it. Within a week they contacted me and and said one of the gold plated contacts on the camera had corroded and they replaced it and also updated my firmware to the latest edition. They mailed it back to me--no charge for the repairs or postage--good on ya Sealife! Now I make sure those gold contacts get a good soaking when possible--no more issues and its been over 18 months since the problem was resolved. Hope your rig is now up and running again.
