Is the peak sea lice season in Roatan any different than the rest of the Caribbean? I've read where DocVikingo said that "the general time frame for the greater Caribbean, Gulf Of Mexico & western Atlantic..." <is> "... March to August, with early April to early June being peak season." I've also read where Dee said that March and April is sea lice season in Roatan, so she goes in May to avoid them.

Is there any general trend, or is it a crapshoot when it comes to sea lice?

I was there June 3-10 last year and didn't have any problems. But then again mosquitos and noseeums don't bother me either.

When I have run into them there, and when I've heard most people talk about them is between Feb and April. This year when we were there in mid March the thimbles were gathering thick, just before they have their nice little babies!

Later, Hawk.
