Dave Zimmerly:
So what is the season (months) for them in the Carib?

generally, jellyfish season is from around mid april through june... you'll get the occasional stragglers after that but its pretty much concentrated in those monthes. also, someone said this earlier, "looking up and avoiding them" isnt the way to go. sadly, juvinile thimble jellyfish are microscopic, and they're the ones that sting you, not the adults, which are visible.

for your trip, i would suggest skins and whatever seagunk is being suggested - i havent tried it but i've heard good things. also... word to the wise... DO NOT rinse in freshwater if you get stung. vinegar. lots and lots of vinegar. the freshwater makes them fire off more stingers...
