Is it worth investing $500+ to sell the 2’s and replace with 3’s?
Thanks to all, in advance!

I just sold my Ys-110's and upgraded to D3 mk2's. I'm very happy with the upgrade. More power, faster recharge, I like the dome diffusers, and the snoot is very cool.

If you’re shooting Olympus with rc/ttl it might be. Or if you need faster recycle time. I’m in the same boat but can’t seem to justify it, I tried justifying it with the dome diffusers but then found that backscatter carries a dome diffuser for the Ys-d2. What did you decide? If you upgraded I’d love to hear your thoughts

No unless the strobes YS-D2 fail which unfortunately in time will occur

I really enjoyed my YSD2Js and only did an exchange with one of them because it completely died.

I've seen a few reviews on the YS-D2s failing. On amazon there are reviews that said the D3 failed after a few uses. Wondering overall how reliable the YS-D strobes are. I've been leaning towards getting a D3 as my first strobe but am only planning on starting with one and hope it will be a reliable one

Had multiple Sea&Sea and they all flooded at some point except one. Went with the Backscatter HF1 and could not be happier (other than it is heavy).

Thanks for sharing, I'll take a look at the Backscatter HF1

My observation, not statistically verified, is that I do not want to own a YS strobe. OOMV.
