I have the DX-1G and it takes great pictures. The controls are easy to use, it is compact, and it has a short lag time. You should check out some of Eskasi's pics, they are outstanding. If you click on my "view gallery" link and then click on the Galapagso album you can see some pics that I took with the DX-1G in the Galapagos islands.
