I just bought a sea and sea dx750g and was wondering if anyone has feedback or output on how you like it and what kind of acessories you can get on it. Its a good camera and look forward to shooting with it. Its got many modes and things like that and any info about what is the best mode for different types of photography would be greatly appreciated. thanks,
Kurt

The 750g is an excellent camera. It produces very nice pics and has a nice macro mode. For accessories you should first look at the YS15 auto strobe w/tray and arm. Using an artifical light source is going to give your pictures more vibrant colors and bring out more detail in your photos. Other than that you might want to think about getting the wide angle lens. Good look with the new cam, post some pics after you take it out.

thanks for the reply H20PhotoPro any advice on usage and underwater photography tips and tricks would be helpful how did you become a photo pro? im am looking to go into the industry of didng and figured that photography would be a good asset. This thread is for anyone and everyone who has a sea&sea camera or is thinking to purchase one. I like what i know about it so far. Its a good company please look into it.

Great that you are happy with your first choice of camera!

Have a look around the board for tips on getting started - virtually all of the tips to get on your way are applicable no matter which system you use. There are fewer camera specific questions, but as you find them go ahead and post them in the main UW Photo area as more ppl browse there so you should get some good answers.

Also, hit the bookstore/library for books with uw photos (and above). They will help you to determine ideas you like before you head under the sea. Jim Church's Essential Guide to Composition is, IMHO, a must have for every underwater photo enthusiast!

Most importantly, practice with your camera and it's controls. Learn what it can do. Practice on land if you can't get underwater.

Have fun!

There is an information site at the bottom left of this diver's supply web page. It illustrates some of the options available. A strobe with an arm and a wide angle lens are the two things I would look at.

Another web site is:

They published a book, last summer, titled: Master Guide for Digital Underwater Photography. This is a good buy, covering most of the basics for a beginning digital photographer. There are more comprehensive books out there, but this one will get you off to a good start.
