Does anyone know what the small notch on the bottom of a Scubapro Weight belt buckle is for? Just always wondered.

The notch on the weight belt buckle is to differentiate it from the buckle on a BC.

A better way to do it is to set up the weightbelt with a right hand release (so your buddy can reach from behind you and open it with his/her right hand.) and set up the BC buckle so that it is oriented for a left hand release.

It's considerd bad form to try to get your exhausted and semi panicked buddy more bouyant on the surface and accidently unbuckle his BC instead.
