Please don't pound me for not trying a search prior to starting this thread, I did.

I was given what I believe to be a Scubapro Mark VII reg. The reg is monolithic, the yoke being part of the same casting as the main body. It has an 'audio alert' on the main LP port and round caps flush to the body. Could someone please give me some details as to the quality, servicability, etc?

Thanks,
Bill

It's a "honker"!! Spear fishers hate 'em because they always meade the low gas noise right before pulling the trigger. But you can take 47 lbs off your weight belt.

Parts are still available. The Mk VII was an excellent perfroming high quality balanced piston design that used the same piston as the Mk V and was generally similar in performance although the audible alert feature complicated things a great deal.

The Mk VII does in fact go a long way toward eliminating the need for a weight belt as the main body is a LARGE piece of brass.
