you really want to freak the parents out? Set him up with a double hose.......

My twins are 12 now. They started at 10, and I gave them a MK20/G250 each, right after our 1st dive trip. They look a bit funny in the pics, and a lot better in real life. I told them it's the ultimate reg, and they never complained. So size doesn't matter. :D

If you really want small, the S555 (non-adj) and the S600 (adj) are based on more or less the same principle, but with more plastic inside and breath a bit less good. Or maybe the new C300.

Any second can be used with the MK10; just tweak the orifice a bit to adjust for the IP. Remove the hose, turn the orifice counter-clockwise a bit while holding down the purge, put the hose back, pressurize, repeat until it free flows, then back up until it stops.

Sorry Lob......you were the OP.
Yes, if you don't have the MK200 2nd stage, use the nice shiny ones you have, with the 108 as the octo.

Just as Zung said the S550/S555/ S600 and G250 all use the same parts kit. They are very similar and you should be able to get a S550 or S555 at a reasonable price. The G250 and S600 are a little crazy right now.

my son 12 years old dives a s600 primary and s555 octo on a mk17 these are a good size for him and should last him a long time.
other small options that are non scubapro
aqualung mikron
or mares proton(my wife dives these and likes them)
