I have a Mark 15 purchased online that has no serial number. It looks identical to the one I purchased in 1995 that has a serial number stamped on the side of the main body? It seems to function perfectly. Is it a knockoff? When did SP start putting serial numbers? Any thoughts on why it is without a serial number? Thank you in advance.

My MK 18 1st stages have serial #s, ....my vintage MK 5 / 109's only have serial #'s on the 2nd stages.

I've got a MK10 made in 1997...with serial numbers. I believe I read somewhere that the first stages were marked with serial numbers, only after production moved to Italy.
