Just bought a used ScubaPro Ladyhawk BC with Air 2 Alternate Inflation Regulator (yes it is being serviced right now as we speak). Can I use any ol' octo and reg w/ this BC? Feel kind of overwhelmed w/ the reg choices and not sure if there is a different kind needed for this BC.

Hi and welcome. Not exactly sure what your question is, but if you are asking if you can use any regulator with this BC, then yes. The air 2 is your octo, so you do not need another octo. But remember that the Air2 is the backup regulator for you in an out of air situation and that you will be donating your primary regulator. Hope that helps. BTW, great BC. I dove the SP knighthawk for many years.

Rachelita,
Did you get the inflator hose with it? The Air2's are nice, they take the place of the octo
or "safe 2nd", but they take a different inflator hose.

cdreamer is correct. I ran into that issue when I borrowed a Knighthawk BC with AIR2 and tried to hook it up to my reg. My regular BC hose would not go on.

The other folks are correct. The Air 2 requires a different LP hose from the 1st stage. If you want, you can have two Octo's, one could be the Air 2 and one could be a standard Octo regulator. I have been using the Air 2 for nearly 20 years and love the fact that I don't have a second regulator to worry about.

:D:D:D:DI am sure you will love the SP Ladyhawk.:D:D:D:D

I have been diving the Knighthawk for several years now, without a complaint.

My wife saw how much I liked it and we purchased her a Ladyhawk.

She now dives the Ladyhawk, exclusively:).

Get yourself the proper inflater hose and you will be good to go.
