It can be registered online through Scubapro's web site, no receipt needed. Lexvil is correct, the authorized dealer will appear when you register it, just put that you paid retail for it.
I hope that you’re right. This will be a change from the established SP procedure of the last twenty years. Original receipt is usually required.

I ran a Scubapro dealership for 30+ years and for the last 15 you could register your gear online, no receipt needed.

To obtain warranty service, you must deliver the affected component or part, together with your proof of purchase to any authorized SCUBAPRO dealer.

It’s best to go to the source so let’s settle this.

YOU MUST BUY IT FROM AN AUTHORISED SP DEALER AND RETAIN PROOF OF PURCHASE.

Good morning, Cliff,

Yes, proof of purchase from an authorized SCUBAPRO Dealer is required for warranty service on computers, regulators,& BCD’s. Those items should also be registered in the database as well.

Please let us know if there are any other questions or concerns.

Thank you,

Hi Kathleen, Does SP require proof of purchase from an authorised SP dealer for warranty service on a G3? Thanks, Cliff ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍

Hey Cliff,

Consider this discussion ended. The proof of purchase comes when the product is registered on Scubapro's web site.

Like you I dealt with Scubapro for years and had many disappointed customers coming into the store thinking that they would receive warranty service from SP for items purchased from unauthorised sources. Kathleen is the ultimate SP gatekeeper in these squabbles. Not sure why you think that you know more than she does. Anyone who buys a SP computer from an unauthorised dealer is not eligible for warranty service - period. Saying otherwise is just plain disingenuous.

I thought this discussion had ended? Are you interested in the G3? If not...

You made a BS statement about the warranty. If you knew otherwise, it’s fraudulent. If you didn’t (you were a SP dealer for 30 yrs), correct it. This aint rocket science.

Letting potential buyers know that the warranty is not valid is part of the problem of selling on SB. People care about the community. If you want to deceive others, try Fleabay.

I stand by my original post that this G3 comes with the factory warranty. I know a thing or two from my 40+ years in the dive business. And you're correct, "it aint rocket science."

More BS. Zero valid factory warranty. My assertion is backed up by SP.

Let's get back to what my original post is about...

I have a brand new Scubapro G3 for sale, I dropped the price to $700 a few days ago. Comes with full Scubapro factory warranty or your money back plus $50 for your trouble. Feel free to DM me with any questions.

Thank you.
